The SSB Interview is a Personality based selection. So, the candidates must understand two things: |
(a) What is being tested in the candidate, by the SSB? |
(b) How is it being tested by the SSB (Testing tools). |
Psychologist carefully & in detail observes the hero's feelings, thinking, desires, needs, and motives. He tries to interpret are these usual, unusual, common, uncommon, unique, high or low etc. |
Next, he carefully observes the various means adopted by the hero to fulfill/achieve his need (socially acceptable or un-acceptable – OLQs). |
SSB Interview is a Personality based selection. So, one needs to understand that there are two aspects that need to take care of while preparing for the SSB Interview: |

The answer is they are testing the Personality of the candidate, in four dimensions ie. the Physical Dimension (PQ), the intellectual dimensions (IQ), the emotional dimension (EQ), and the value dimension or the Spiritual Quotient (SQ) |
(d) How the SSB is testing the Personality ie the SSB Testing Tools? |
The Mansa, Vachha & Karmanna are the three different SSB testing tools that the Psychologist, the interviewing officer, and the Group Testing Officer employ in order to test the personality of the candidate. |
This course, The Psychological Test, will help the candidate to understand the exact expectation of the SSB from candidates in this technique, the learners will be able to figure out the exact gap in their present level of performance. Also, the learners will get to know the exact tools to bridge this gap. |
The concept of intra-technique congruence will also be covered during the course. This will help learners do identify the congruence between their TAT responses, WAT, SRT, and SD responses. |
